Use Google Ads (PPC) to Complement Natural Search
Advertising on Google using Google Ads can be very effective in driving visitors to your website. These are also known as Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Ads.
When we search we have specific ‘intent’ because we are looking for a solution to a specific problem or need. That is why Google Ads can be much more effective than advertising in social media where your adverts risk interrupting them.
Google Ads campaigns work as follows:
- Search adverts are triggered by the words or phrases that you type into the search engine and appear above the natural search results.
- You can run different advertising campaigns in Google searches, based on selected keywords, different bidding strategies and limited daily budgets.
- Adverts are available in different formats, including text, responsive, image and video.
- From June 2022 all new ads need to be responsive ads which are driven by Google’s powerful artificial intelligence.
- Bids, targeted locations, adverts and keywords can be adjusted and campaigns turned on and off.
- Adverts need to have effective extensions added to increase the size of the ads and improve conversion rates.
- Remarketing campaigns allows prospects to see your ads on national websites after they’ve visited your website. Remarketing can be very powerful for local businesses.
- Google Ads can work well when complementing effective search engine optimisation (SEO).
